Our Story

How we started and where we're going

Making a Difference Since 2016

Bodhichitta Development Society is a non-profit organization established in 2016 to provide shelter, care, and education to earthquake victims, orphans, and disabled children from remote parts of Nepal. Our main mission is to ensure that our children receive care, love, adequate nutrition, and an engaging and productive learning experience — all within the safety of a friendly environment they can proudly call home.We aim to help these children grow into competent, loyal, and compassionate individuals who have the ability and determination to serve society and support suffering sentient beings.Together, we extend our hands with loving-kindness and compassion, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these vulnerable children.

We started with just 4 children. At present, we care for 27 children between the ages of 5 and 16. In 2025, two of our senior girls appeared for their SEE (Class 10 board exam). We have been running this home through the generosity, kindness, and continued support of friends and well-wishers. Without their financial and moral support, we could not keep our vision alive.

    2018

We searched across Nepal for children who are truly earthquake victims, orphans, and children with disabilities and Collect the Chlid and Help them

The time became easier as we connected with various supporting hands around the world. With their donations, we are now able to support and care for more than 20 students

    Today

We now have over 30 children from different parts of Nepal, and we are working to improve the lives of more than 100 students by providing them with care, education, and support
